We are hiring Design/Build Project Managers to support various high profile Road/Bridge and Rail pursuits in the DC/MD and VA areas, as well as oversee planning, design and, construction for D/B and conventional projects. Projects are located in the DC/MD/VA region, however, we are open to candidates living in other locations on the East coast, that are willing to travel as needed to project locations.  

If you have an in-depth knowledge of infrastructure project delivery, have executed design/build projects and enjoy being the main point of contact with the client - then we want to talk with you! In this role, you will be integral to helping execute existing work and developing new projects by assuring on-schedule completion, within or below, budget and in accordance with our contractual obligations.   In addition to supervising Parsons’ staff, you will build on our professional relationships with key subcontractors during the program execution. Our PM's operate as seller/doers and are expected to support pursuits, and develop new opportunities, through your own connections. As a PM, you will develop and oversee Design/Build teams after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Changes to the scope of work, negotiating contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements will be key responsibilities.  We seek someone with knowledge of planning, design, and construction tor transportation projects (bridge, roadway or rail), the ability to monitor deliverables and experience in the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for projects.

Selected candidates will also need to demonstrate an of business development techniques to win infrastructure pursuits and build pursuit teams. You will lead efforts to develop responses to RFQ/RFP's by public and private sector clients. In this role, you will be expected to lead proposal teams, author responses, and serve as pursuit capture manager.

Qualifications:


15+ years of related project/program. planning, execution and/or program management experience on large scope alternative delivery projects within the transportation market.

Experience working with MDOT, VDOT or DDOT preferred
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, and significant experience in proposal management, and capture management
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution
Professional registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) is preferred
Ability and willingness to travel nationally to support client and project teams
