Description:

Our team is looking for a Systems Administrator to focus on the development and administration of a wide variety of systems and environments. You will be responsible for deploying and configuring software and hardware releases to development environments. You will also be responsible for maintaining these systems, configuring both operating systems and software products, as well as installing required software patches and security updates for the systems. In addition, you may provide assistance by resolving system problems, providing system backups, and performing system maintenance. You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world, cutting edge systems which are changing how the Space community is doing business.

Candidate must have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be supporting many development environments for software engineers working in a DevSecOps pipeline. Physical location for this work will be at Catalyst Campus in downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. Catalyst Campus, located in the historic train station, provides an open, collaborative work environment that inspires creative problem solving where engineers can work hard and play hard.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 2-4 years of experience in system administration. Six (6) years of additional experience, applicable training and/or certifications may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree

• System Administration skills in Red Hat Linux and/or MacOS

• Experience configuring and maintaining various hardware environments

• Knowledge and experience with Cloud Computing and Amazon Web Services

• Experience with scripting languages such as Windows Powershell and Unix shell for troubleshooting and automation of routine tasks

• Experience with support ticketing systems to organize and distribute incoming customer service requests.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

• High level of self-motivation, ability to define, manage, and prioritize tasks in a team environment

• Must be a US citizen due to DoD contract

Desired Skills:

• System Administration skills in Windows Server 2012 & 2016

• Knowledge and experience with Docker Containers and Kubernetes

• Experience with full DevOps toolchain (e.g. JIRA, Gitlab, Jenkins, Fortify, Artifactory)

• Knowledge and understanding of software agile development life cycle processes

• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Experience with installation and maintenance of Single Sign-On (SSO) and authentication/authorization software e.g. Active Directory, Keycloak

• Knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)

• Experience with interpretation and application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

• Experience with cybersecurity tools e.g. ACAS, SIEM, HBSS

• DoD 8570 Certification (Security+, CCNA, etc.) or ability to obtain

• Top Secret clearance with DCID eligibility for SCI preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to configure and operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 30 pounds across campus.
