We need you to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.   In this role you will perform new and retrofit design of various structures and facilities for commercial, institutional and government projects, such as office buildings, laboratories, industrial facilities, airport hangars, harbors and other interesting projects. The successful candidate analyzes proposed projects to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsible for the development of engineering schedule and costs including computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, and structural designs.  Willingness to travel for site investigation/structural observation and meeting as needed.  

Responsibilities:

Function as discipline Project Lead Structural Engineer to plan, direct, and supervise the work, including CAD designers in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.

Determines scope, schedule and budget estimates and staffing requirements.  May assist with other administrative and technical duties.

Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

Prepares engineering computations, drawings, specifications, and other construction documents in compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.

Prepares technical papers and maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:
A Master Degree in Structural Engineering and 6 years of structural design experience. Structural Engineer registration is required.
