The selected candidate responsibilities will be:

  • Works closely with the Delivery Lead, Executives and Project Management to develop, implement and manage the Quality Program for design and construction for a major municipal infrastructure program in Los Angeles. The selected candidate will ensure adherence to established design and construction quality standards and practices.
  • Manages the design and construction quality management staff for the program during mobilization, implementation and closeout. Leads the quality team towards achieving long-term vision and objectives.
  • Develops and manages quality training programs related to the program.
  • With assistance from staff, manages and oversees Program Developer’s quality programs for design and construction, including:
  • Identification, documentation, reporting of design and construction quality deficiencies.
  • Working proactively and corroboratively with project managers and other team members as necessary to resolve all design and construction quality issues.
  • 15+ years of related design and construction quality management experience and prefer 5+ years of experience directly supporting large scale programs of similar scope/complexity.
  • B.S./ B.A. degree in engineering, construction or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient with quality program implementation and management in alternative project delivery methods, including P3/DBFOM and design-build; in depth knowledge of the contracting relationships and typical contracting terms between the general contractor and all other parties.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and disciplines, construction technologies and job site construction management and OSHA. 
  • Knowledge of scheduling and familiarity with project and document management software (such as Primavera, PROLOG, Expedition, etc.). 
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and site utilities plans and detailed shop drawings.
