Parsons is now hiring a Network Manager in Newark, NJ

The successful candidate will provide strong technical expertise on decisions and priorities related to the enterprise’s overall systems architecture, with a core focus on IT infrastructure (such as the network backbone, servers, storage devices, the various infrastructure protocols and directory systems). Recommends IT infrastructure strategies that can best support Parsons business initiatives and long-term goals.  Utilizes a strong technical foundation combined with outstanding communication skills and a “holistic” viewpoint to drive the establishment and implementation of architecture standards and solutions in a complex, global environment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

•           Designing network solutions incorporating standards and industry best practice to enhance and expand the functionality of the Data Network incorporating fault tolerance, resiliency and scalability for Backhaul Radio System.

•           Configuration, installation and troubleshooting network connectivity equipment including but not limited to Firewalls, Switches and Routers.

•           Produced and reviewed FAT, SAT and SIT documentation and process regarding network implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures and knowledge transfer material.

•           Participate in customer facing meeting to align strategies and determine business and technical requirements that will be used in developing solutions.

•           Monitoring wide area, local area and remote access networks

•           Managing IP networks, TCP/IP, OSPF, STP, VLAN, Firewalls, LAN and WAN Circuits.

•           Configure Cisco/Etherwan switches and Palo Alto Firewall

•           Managing IP Address Management (IPAM) best practices for overall IPAM to include IP Address Inventory Management.

•           DNS, DHCP and NAT implementation and IP VPN

4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum) and at least 10+ years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming utilizing specialized languages (or an equivalent combination of work experience and education). At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role managing software development projects following Project Management Methodology.

Certifications:

Cisco Expert Certifications (CCIE) or multiple Cisco Professional Certifications (CCNP, CCSP, CCVP, etc) preferred.

Microsoft server certification: MCITP-Enterprise Administrator preferred.

IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - Power Systems with IBM i preferred.
