The successful candidate will work as a part of the Parsons Corporate Infrastructure Team reporting to the Network & Data Center Solutions Manager. The focus of this work is on the provisioning, deployment, configuration, and administration of many different pieces of network hardware and software. These include firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, various network monitoring tools, and VPNs (virtual private networks).  This is to include the automation of these systems and the deployment of devices using the Infrastructure as Code and DevOps philosophies.

The ideal location for the position is in our Colorado Springs, CO or Richardson, TX office.  For the right candidate working remotely can be an option


  • Coordinate special projects including network-related hardware installation and cabling plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software deployments and system installation, backup, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Administer and maintain Internal Network
  • Technical problem isolation and resolution capability.
  • Review and interpret alerts and provide an advanced response, analysis and incident management.
  • Promotes and always maintains a positive image of Parsons to all personnel, members, volunteers, vendors and the community.
  • Cross-train others of essential job duties for coverage when planned absences occur.
  • Ensures that critical and urgent support cases are handled appropriately and be available for support outside of normal business hours when the need arises.
  • Regular network hardware health checks, creation and maintenance of logical and physical network drawings using Visio and liaising with the helpdesk and product development team on cross-discipline issues as they arise. 
  • Travel to various US-based data centers will be required


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or 5 + years of equivalent experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional and experience with Cisco Nexus (7K, 5K), Cisco Meraki (Security Appliances, Switches, Access Points) ASA’s and Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco SD-WAN technologies (Viptela & Meraki) and Cisco UCM (Unified Communications Manager
  • Network Automation using Ansible or other tools and platforms such as Linux
  • Strong routing knowledge to include BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and have a “can-do” attitude and ability to remain professional under high-pressure situations and the individual must demonstrate a strong ability to communicate, to technical and non-technical recipients, via email, written reports, and verbal reports
