The Position:

This leader will develop an actionable digital transformation strategy and road map to align the way Parsons’ teams and employees use technology and support services to enhance the employee work experience, drive business processes improvements, increase operational efficiency and meet organizational goals. This leader will have extensive experience in the modern digital workplace, they will lead and influence multiple teams (directly and indirectly), partnering with internal and external stakeholders, to plan, deliver, operate, and measure technologies and services which impact the employee experience in the modern digital workplace. Digital workplace solutions and services include:

  • Messaging
  • Service desk
  • Cloud Productivity Software
  • Software distribution
  • Enterprise mobility
  • Telephony, audio and video conferencing
  • End user computing
  • Personal computing standards and architecture
  • Hardware and software asset management
  • Field office infrastructure delivery, support and engineering

A core responsibility will be to ensure employees in all Parsons locations can use those solutions effectively, securely and consistently to maximize their productivity. Digital Workplace Services also establishes, maintains, and continuously enhances Technology service management practices and processes to ensure operational consistency and reliability of the workplace solutions and services. This role leads in the development of the communications and marketing strategy to educate and create effective awareness of our digital capabilities within our workforce.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, computer science, information management or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualification or professional training in marketing, social or behavioral science is also desirable
  • Ten or more years of work experience, ideally in business management or IT management and preferably a combination of the two.
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Experience in designing strategic metrics and scorecards.
  • Strategy and management consulting experience desirable.
  • Must be a designated U.S. Person (federal customer requirement)

Skills / Competencies:

  • Strong technical understanding of global IT infrastructure architecture.
  • A solid understanding of Project Management Methodology (PMM) fundamentals and agile project delivery techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
  • Empathy for and identification with the leaders and employees in the organization affected by changes in the digital workplace.
  • Demonstrated leadership. A proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary talent teams in new endeavors and delivering solutions.
  • Strategic technology planning experience. Experience in strategic technology planning and execution, as well as policy development and maintenance.
  • Analytical skills. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively drive people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment.
  • Gravitas to develop a digital workplace program, as well as to sell and embed it in all levels of the business.
  • Fearless — not afraid to suggest or back big ideas. Tenacious — able to push back and focus the information discovery process.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. This includes the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists, and the ability to sell ideas and processes internally at all levels, including the board and investors.
  • Proven record of effective leadership. This includes the ability to balance team and individual responsibilities by building teams and consensus, and getting things done through others not directly under the leader's supervision by working ethically and with integrity.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee-facing services such as personal and group productivity tools, data discovery, intranets, knowledge management, social networks and technology support.
  • A deep affinity and exceptional flair with consumer gadgets, apps and other technology services, along with the vision to see how they can improve employee agility and engagement.
