We are currently seeking an information system security specialist to help us deliver best in class services to our Air Force client.

As a security specialist you will perform key Assessment and Authorization activities to include:

  • Prepare Program Protection Plans (PPP)
  • Develop System Security Plans (SSP)
  • Determine FIPS 199 Information Types/Security Categorizations
  • Prepare/develop Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) Plan
  • Conduct Security Assessment (SRA)
  • Prepare Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M)
  • Prepare Accreditation Decision Letter
  • Provide program management, control, and reporting necessary to manage and direct efforts required for Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Assessment and Authorizations, document inventory, and external information security reporting
  • Provide additional recommendations on processes, procedures, and tools that can be implemented to enhance the compliance with independent review objectives established for the system
  • Perform hands-on use of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS) application in a classified environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of related professional experience
  • Familiarity with conducting research and analysis
  • Familiarity with network and information systems security principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with controlling, labeling, virus scanning, and appropriately transferring data (uploading/downloading) between information systems at varying classification levels
  • Ability to engender rapport with the military, civilians, and other contractors at all levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with applicable NRO, IC, DoD policies, procedures and operating instructions related to information technology, information assurance, information management (IT/IA/IAM)
  • Active TS/SCI required
  • Preference will be given to those holding industry standard certifications: (GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CISSP, CASP, etc.

    Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Top Secret SCI clearance.
