The success of the customer’s mission is our number one priority.   We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. 

Parsons Systems Engineers perform a variety of engineering tasks related to the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. Design work may include logic design, circuit design, I/O design, instrumentation design, firmware development, model formulation, manufacturing and development cost projections, computer architecture analysis and design, network structure design, and analog or binary systems engineering. The Systems Engineer analyzes integration of system processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of total system performance. The ideal candidate will support key system level activities in the deployment of state of the art systems by serving as a professional staff member onsite on the Governments team. You must be organized and effective in communicating plans, requirements, results and information to customers at a variety of management levels and technical backgrounds. Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ideal candidate is familiar with use of Model Based Systems Engineering concepts to support requirements analysis and definition, and allocation, decomposition and traceability

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field desired and 10+ years related experience
  • System architecture & design
  • Experience in SysML, using tools such as NoMagic Cameo (preferred),
    I-Logix/Telelogic/IBM Rhapsody, Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA), Rhapsody, MagicDraw or Vitech CORE
  • Experience using DOORS to include script writing and report generation
  • Change Request / Change Management (CR/CM) tracking tools such as IBM ClearQuest or Git.
  • Requirements writing and management in support of missile defense systems
  • System integration/Test procedures including Test Case Development & Formal testing practices
  • Engineering Non-Recurring-Expense (NRE) Estimation
  • Engineering Project Planning & Management
  • Familiarity with DoDAF and UPDM is a plus
  • Experience federating architectures is a plus
  • Experience using MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Active Secret DOD security clearance

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Secret clearance.
