Parsons is seeking a Ground Test Requirements Engineer to provide systems engineering technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) – System Engineering Test Requirements (DE/EEF) by identifying and resolving complex problems crossing organizational boundaries, and promulgating solutions.  Position may require occasional travel.

Duties:

Support MDA/EEF-S (EEF-System) ground test team. 

  • General Duties:
    • Perform mission analysis, capability requirements and allocation analysis, top-level design synthesis, and functional analysis and allocation.
    • Engage in concept planning; design and development; integration, testing and verification at the Missile Defense System (MDS) system, element or component level.
    • In cooperation with coworkers, identify needs of internal and external customers and address their concerns.
    • Develop and present technical briefings or reports to Senior Executives.
  • Detailed Duties:
    • Support Ground Test planning and execution at the Campaign- and quarterly-test-event-level in accordance with the Integrated Master Test Plan and Ground Test Concept of Operations.
    • Aid the Ground Test Requirements Lead with responsibilities for full requirements insight and test sufficiency across sequenced MDS development increments and linked Flight Test and Ground Test events.
    • Participate in development and documentation of test requirements, allocation of requirements to events, and requirement completion or reallocation.
    • Identify, track and assist in resolving Action Items and Watch Items resulting from the test requirement coordination process.

Develop executive level briefings based upon supervisor vision and guidance.

Experience Requirements:

  • BS degree and typically 8+ years of related professional experience.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) in research & development role.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Experience supporting Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test planning and/or requirements is highly desired.
  • Experience with MDS Ground Test Infrastructure, models and simulations or simulation framework is highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal skills
