Road & Highway Group Manager – Infrastructure – Denver, Colorado

Responsibilites :

• Manage, oversee, and lead the design engineering practice to support various Colorado and other regional transportation agencies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and future clients.  Collaborate with business development team to lead or support project development activities.
• In this role, you will lead the overall civil design on both conventional and alternative project delivery projects for road, highway, arterial and collector street projects.
•  You will be responsible for overseeing the civil design team’s technical deliverables and meeting project schedules from design through construction. Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements.
• Our Managers are heavily involved in identifying new business and participate in the business development process, and then stay technically hands on throughout the life of the project. We expect you will identify new opportunities with your current contacts in the region and help grow the business.  

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) is required.  
• 12-15 years of related work experience with civil road & highway design and project management
• Positive team player who is inspired to lead and grow our Colorado road and highway design practice
• Experience in the State of Colorado with DOT projects is strongly preferred
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE)  registration is  required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months from point of hire.  
• Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity
• Excellent written and oral communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations is required
• Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on projects
• Proficient experience and knowledge of Bentley MicroStation Geopak is essential (AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is a plus)
