Parsons is now hiring Mid Level Environmental Engineer with a desire to work on environmental projects that would be located in the East Los Angeles Area or in Pasadena, CA.

In this role you will be mitigating environmental concerns such as contaminated soil; abandoned underground storage tanks (USTs), asbestos pipe, rail road ties, and wells; and archeological findings or impacts to cultural resources.  This position entails managing the environmental permit processes such as storm water, petroleum impacted water, and TPDES.


Responsibilities:

  • May manage site investigation and remediation projects of varying size.
  • Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
     
  • Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. 
     
  • Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
     
  • Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
     
  • Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
     
  • Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
     
  • Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
     
  • May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
     
  • May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
    Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 8+ years of related work experience

Professional Engineer registration is required

40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Ability to perform in a lead capacity on a project

Experience making recommendations based upon analysis of environmental data.

Proficiency in field data collection methods typically used in environmental investigations

Ability to professionally and effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

Experience supervising soil removal projects.

Must have a reliable Vehicle to travel to client field locations

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Professional, office automation products, and creating and manipulating environmental databases.
