An Imaginative, Audacious Thinker Needed!

PARSONS is looking for an Employee Recognition VISIONARY to lead the day-to-day management of our enterprise wide recognition program. This position will be based in either Centreville, VA or Charlotte, NC.  This exciting role also involves planning, implementing and monitoring all aspects of the employee recognition program.

This role will focus on internal recognition programs, including the coordination and CHAMPIONING of the ongoing evolution of our current program, the Parsons Distinguished Recognition and Incentive (DRIVE) Program. You will evolve the infrastructure needed to run the nomination process for various awards from inception to finish, working with internal teams to ensure positive communications are sent to employees, those referring and managers.  The position will work with marketing and communication on promotion of the program and managing day to day transactions and nominations to ensure employees are rewarded timely and communication is delivered to all key stakeholders associated with a nomination.

This is a fast-moving position with a lot of interconnected parts. We need someone who not only has the skills and drive to handle it all, but the creativity to think outside the box and know what we need before we know we need it. In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who truly understands the value of our employees and is PASSIONATE about developing and evolving a recognition program that is market-leading and embodies the great work our talent does each day!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and planning aspects of our employee recognition program.
  • Researching and brainstorming fun, creative and engaging new events, experiences and opportunities for our staff to reward them for hard work and dedication.
  • Ensuring the proper level of communications are established throughout the planning process
  • Collaborating in the coordination and planning of program communications to maximize results
  • Reviewing and suggesting CREATIVE changes to approaches, strategies and plans.
  • Monitoring, tracking and managing team tasks/execution against established deliverables, plans and objectives
  • Processing vendor invoices and incentive award payments to recipients
  • Ensuring projects are on task and meeting deadlines
  • Writing communications for different audiences
  • Planning and directing schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget

What we want out of our candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong natural leadership ability
  • Comfort with an ever-changing environment and the ability to quickly adapt to changes
  • Experience giving live demonstrations and training groups of people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels/audiences
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat and comfort with navigating databases
  • Detail-oriented and timeline focused
  • Strong research ability. Position will require ability to capture data and engage with vendors
  • Ability to stay focused and organized under pressure
  • Ability to quickly resolve issues
  • Ability to approach problems with a CREATIVE and FUN mindset
