Ready to put your cyber security skills to work supporting a state of the art DoD test facility? Are you willing to work hard to get the job done? Parsons is seeking a candidate with a desire to lead computer network defense at a premier facility.

Role:

Develops, maintains, and implements information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for networks, applications and data.  Ensures that systems are protected from unauthorized access and use. Monitors systems, identifies threats, and supports disaster recovery operations.

Responsibilities:

• Performs assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
• Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports for obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits.
• Assists in the implementation of required government policy (e.g., DoDD 8530, DoDD 8500.2, Dodi 8510.1, Dodi 8510.01, Risk Management Framework, and other NIST and CNSS IA directives and instructions) and makes recommendations on process tailoring.
• Performs analyses to validate established security requirements and recommends additional security requirements and safeguards where required.
• Supports the formal Security Test & Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports.
• Periodically conducts a review of each system’s audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
• Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
• Works under consultative direction toward predetermining long-range targets.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Masters of Science in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field.  Minimum 10 years experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Must have active Secret or above.

CERTIFICATIONS:  Information Assurance certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 8570.01M

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Secret clearance.
