Parsons is currently hiring a Scheduler / Construction Engineer in the Washington Metro Area to support a major transit client!  This staff augmentation position will support our client with an effort to replace communication infrastructure throughout the DC metro transit system.


Provide scheduling and planning services to develop work plans and new work processes to improve work planning and coordination agency-wide. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Preparation of track access needs based on analysis of work required and input from maintenance work group;   
  • Preparation and presentation of detailed work execution schedules (march charts/time-location diagrams);  
  • Support to work groups in determining needs and logistics for materials and equipment handling, storage, and staging;   
  • Support for assessment of work-arounds/contingency planning for major work events; and  
  • Support for annual and long-term capital project planning.  


  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in construction and/or communications systems (radio infrastructure) and the ability to evaluate and develop complex schedules.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Primavera 6 (P6).  
  • Experience with Tilos and Procore is preferred.  
  • Must be able to work periodically in the field around operating equipment and have field / construction experience.  
  • Good communication skills.

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Prescreen Required clearance.
