CEI SENIOR INSPECTOR – Jacksonville Florida

Seeking a Senior Inspector for CEI work in the Jacksonville, Florida area.  Candidate should be a high school graduate or equivalent plus seven (4+) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in roadway or bridge construction inspection.

Responsibilities include:

• Receive general supervision from the Project Administrator.
• Coordinate and manage the lower level inspectors and verification testing technicians.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Perform field inspection of contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Prepare daily reports to document contractor work operations.
• Field measure installed quantities and perform supporting standard mathematical calculations.
• Enter daily reports in Site Manager and testing results into Material Acceptance and Certification (MAC) database.

Prior FDOT experience required, District 2 experience preferred. Ideal candidate should possess current FDOT CTQP certificates and Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) certification as well as possess working knowledge of FDOT specifications. 

Requirements:Local Candidates in the Florida region preferred.  No relocation offered.   High School degree and minimum of 4 years of Construction Inspection experience, with a minimum of 2 years Roadway or Bridge construction inspection experience.  Prefer FDOT experience, but will consider candidates with other DOT experience.
