Job Description

Parsons is hiring a Business Manager who can lead a team of professionals to execute the project business operations on a large and challenging program.


Parsons’ extensive experience in this field, combined with your management and technical experience, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance.  We need our Business Managers to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.   In this role you will develop, manage, and/or execute all phases of the business operations effort, project controls, cost control and analysis, financial management, and administration) and facilitate the effective execution of our contract with our client.

Responsibilities:  


Provides leadership, guidance, and specialized assistance to the project for the resolution of difficult and complex business operation functions related to project controls, finance and administrative challenges.
Manages a team of up to 12 Project Control Engineers/Specialists, Finance Managers, and Administration staff who are qualified and experienced to execute their technical functions.

Provides complete oversight to all aspects of Project Administration, including Document Controls, Vehicle and Facility Inventory Control and Travel Administration.

Responsible for the development of accurate Financial Forecasts (in conjunction with Finance Managers), including deep dives, business planning, and revenue recognition meetings and to develop solutions to maximize profitability on the project.

Additionally responsible for overseeing the maintenance of vendor commitments, the facilitation of program payroll and the leadership of budgeting and cost control for the program.
Responsible for supervising IT specialists in support of IT assets for the Project.

Qualifications:  
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field)
15+ years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience
Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field 
Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various Project Controls Software and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and Sharepoint)

Strong ability to act as a robust internal interface for senior management and project Finance professionals
Thorough knowledge of project management and industry practices is required

Proven track record of achievement in the Middle East is a pre-requisite for this role.
Incumbent must meet Parsons Project Controls Manager Certification requirements
