Parsons is seeking a Basic System Assessment Engineer.

Duties

  • Support MDA/EEAX (EEA Execution) BMDS, Element, and Component assessment requirements development, coordination, planning, and execution.
  • Support development of assessment result briefings of BMDS upgrades in support of MDA decisions to add new capabilities to the BMDS Operational Capacity Baseline.
  • Develop and present technical briefings to Senior Leadership.
  • Perform document quality assurance.  Requires exceptional attention to detail.
  • Prepare and disseminate reports, briefings, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes or synopsis; and track action items to closure.  Requires exceptional attention to detail.
  • Establish meetings, develop presentation layouts, collect Requests for Information (RFIs), record meeting minutes.
  • Support reviews, meetings, working groups, boards, and audits for MDA programs and processes in support of BMDS Integration, Test, Verification, and Fielding functions and activities.


Activities include

  • Attend and participate in System Assessment Friday Analysis Meetings (FAM).
  • Attend and participate in Design evaluation, Continuous integration and Assessment Team (DCAT) meetings.
  • Generate Status Reports and Meeting Minutes.
  • Support Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and TIM reporting.

Required Experience

  • BS/BA Engineering or Technical equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience and strong complex systems problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering practices and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance (Active Secret or Top Secret preferred).


Desired Experience

  • Understanding of MDA Systems Engineering practices and processes.
  • Familiarity with BMDS-level documentation (e.g. BMD System Description Document (BMD SDD), BMD System Specification (BMD SS), etc.).
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret security clearance.
